What it does
PITCHMAP works on individual notes inside a finished, mixed recording, in real time, so you can reshape melodies and harmonies without separating the parts first.
- Control: play the new pitches from a MIDI keyboard, or draw a pitch map in the interface.
- Extras: optional tuning correction and suppression of sounds within the mix.
- Results: can also give sounds a synthesizer-like character.
When to use it
PITCHMAP is aimed at remixers, mashup makers and sound designers. Like Melodyne, it works on polyphonic audio, but where Melodyne works as an editor, PITCHMAP processes in real time and can be played live. Best suited to sample-based and electronic music and remix work.
