An adaptive equalizer that continuously adjusts itself to push audio toward a target tonal curve you set with a few controls, with a compact view and a full analyzer view.

What it does
BALANCE is an adaptive EQ for quickly setting the overall tonal balance of a source, mix or recording.
- Target curve: shape the target with four controls (SLOPE, WEIGHTING, BASS and AIR). Zynaptiq says it handles as easily as a tilt EQ while working like a match EQ.
- Filtering: minimum-phase processing with about 3 ms latency and low CPU use, plus 12 dB/octave low- and high-cut filters.
- Amount and gain: global EQ amount and wet gain controls.
- Other: up to 16 channels, an optional double-precision mode and a GPU-accelerated analyzer.
When to use it
BALANCE is for broad tonal shaping, not surgical work. It's closest in spirit to sonible smart:EQ 4, which also adapts to the incoming signal; unlike FabFilter Pro-Q 4, it is not the tool for precise band-by-band edits.
- Best for: a fast first pass on a mix bus or master, or nudging a track toward a reference's tonal balance.
