What it does
XMLimiter V2 is a free peak limiter aimed at mastering, described as keeping transients and stereo width intact while preventing clipping.
- Two controls: Push (input gain) and Ceiling (output limit).
- Metering: a vertical gain reduction meter.
- Character: transparent at moderate settings, turning into saturation or clipping when pushed hard.
- Version 2: adds an updated interface.

When to use it
A simple last-in-chain limiter when you want to raise loudness with almost no setup. With only two controls it will not replace full-featured mastering limiters, but it is easy to try on a master or drum bus.
