Mega MIDI Mapper is a free MIDI effect from Witch Pig that moves incoming notes to other notes. The developer calls it a utility "with huge creative potential", mainly for converting drum MIDI from one layout to another.

When to use it
Mega MIDI Mapper is the better pick when your drum or instrument MIDI doesn't match the note map of the plugin you want to play it on, and your DAW has no drum-map feature of its own. Unlike the rated utilities such as Insight 2 or SPAN, which meter and analyse audio, it works only on MIDI notes. Compared with a DAW feature like Cubase's drum maps or Logic's MIDI transform tools, it works as a plugin in any host, including DAWs that lack such a feature.
