What it does

Angel Dust is a free pitch-shifting dual delay from Witch Pig: each side of the stereo echo gets its own harmony, so the repeats can sit an octave below on one side and a fifth above on the other.

Dual pitch: separate semitone settings for left and right; for example -12 puts the echo an octave below and 7 a fifth above.
Balance: favours one side over the other, useful when the two pitches clash.
Delay and Feedback: set the echo time and how many repeats come back.
LFO and Frequency: shape the length and character of the delays, adding movement to the repeats.
Presets: includes Octaver and Nephilim (an octave below on the left and a fifth above on the right).
Stacking: the developer suggests running two instances at once for more complex arpeggiations.

Version 1.0 is free. Bedroom Producers Blog reported a known issue when the host's block size differs from the one the developer tested with.

When to use it

Angel Dust is the pick for free, harmonised stereo echoes rather than general delay duty. Compared with EchoBoy or Timeless 3 it has no tape or analog styles, filters, tempo divisions or rhythm tools, but it puts a different pitch on each side, which neither is built around. Compared with Valhalla Delay's pitch modes, it is narrower but free, and its fixed left/right harmony makes octave and fifth echoes very quick to set up. Its strength is character: Bedroom Producers Blog found the presets musical and controllable.

Best for: octave and fifth echoes on guitars, synths and vocals, shimmering pads and ambient textures.
Genres: ambient, rock, electronic and experimental.
Look elsewhere if: you need tempo-synced, studio-style delays; EchoBoy, Timeless 3 or Valhalla Delay do far more.
Tip: for the Octaver preset, use a short delay with no feedback for depth; and watch the input level, since octave-down repeats can get muddy fast.

Early write-ups see it as a characterful free effect for experimenting, not an everyday delay.

Bedroom Producers Blog (James Nugent, 2024) praised the hypnotic interface and the Octaver and Nephilim presets for a "controllable and musical effect", but warned octaves can get muddy.
KVR users rate it 4.0 out of 5 from one review, calling it an interesting effect with a fascinating GUI.
Criticisms: there is a known block-size issue.
