Torque by Waves

Drum tone shifter that changes the pitch of drum hits while preserving their transients.

Best for: Drums. Genres: all genres.

Keywords: drums, snare, kick, subscription.

What it does

Torque is a pitch shifter built for drums, aimed at retuning kicks, snares, toms or a whole kit.

It's included in the Waves Essential and Waves Ultimate subscriptions.

Source: Waves product page

When to use it

Reach for it when a recorded snare or tom is out of key with the song and you can't re-record it. It's drum-specific, so it's a better fit for that job than a general-purpose pitch shifter like UltraPitch.
