Best for: Vocals. Genres: all genres.
Keywords: vocals, backing vocals, lead vocals, subscription.
What it does
Sync Vx is a vocal alignment plugin that lines up layered vocals with a lead take.
- Timing: aligns the timing of doubles and backing vocals to the lead vocal.
- Pitch: the developer says it also matches the pitch of the layers to the lead.
- Less editing: aims to avoid manual nudging and clip-by-clip alignment.
It's included in the Waves Essential and Waves Ultimate subscriptions.
When to use it
Use it when you have stacked doubles or harmonies that drift from the lead and you want them tight without editing each phrase by hand. It's a specialist tool for pop, R&B, hip-hop and rock vocal stacks, rather than a general pitch corrector like Waves Tune.
