vst3s Score 8.3/10 · rated #10 of 10 restoration & repair

Single-fader noise suppressor for reducing background noise in dialogue and vocals.

Best for: Vocals. Genres: all genres.

Keywords: vocals, repair, dialogue, single knob, beginner-friendly, corrective, minimal controls.

What it does

NS1 is a one-control noise suppressor for voice. Waves says it analyses and adapts to the signal in real time, bringing the foreground into focus while reducing background noise.

One fader: a single control sets how much noise is removed.
Adaptive: analyses the signal as it plays.

When to use it

A fast fix for dialogue, podcasts, voice-overs and vocals recorded in less-than-ideal rooms. It is intentionally basic: for detailed spectral repair or heavier restoration, a full restoration suite gives more control.
