What it does
IR-1 is a convolution reverb built around impulse responses of real spaces, with parametric control.
- Spaces: includes venues such as Wembley Arena and the Grand Ole Opry.
- Control: parametric shaping of the reverb, going further than IR-L and IR-Live.
When to use it
Choose IR-1 over IR-L when you want to shape the impulse response rather than just load it. It suits realistic rooms, halls and live venues on vocals, strings, drums and post-production. For more character and modulation, an algorithmic reverb such as H-Reverb or VintageVerb is more usual.
