What it does

Immersive Wrapper is Waves' answer to the missing mix bus in Atmos work. It "transforms VST3 mono plugins by Waves and other brands into immersive multichannel processors," opening one instance per channel and linking them.

Any channel format: supports every track type from mono through 7.1.2 up to 9.1.6, hosting any mono-to-mono VST3 plugin.
Flexible linking: link or unlink groups such as surrounds or tops, keep relative control offsets, and use cross-track Global Groups to cover a whole immersive mix.
Shared sidechain: an internal sidechain system shared across beds and objects for mix-wide dynamics processing.
Live version: runs at zero latency (44–96 kHz) in SuperRack SoundGrid, LiveBox and Performer in 5.1.4, 7.1.4 and 9.1.4 racks, where it hosts Waves plugins only.
Developed with engineers: built with immersive mixers Hans-Martin Buff and Yaron Fuchs.

Non-Waves VST3 plugins are supported in the studio only. It is also bundled with SuperRack LiveBox.

When to use it

Immersive Wrapper is for Atmos mixers who want familiar compressors and EQs working as one linked bus processor across all beds and objects. Unlike Waves' M360 Surround Manager & Mixdown, S360 Surround Imager & Panner and C360 Surround Compressor, which are dedicated surround tools, it lets you use your stereo favorites across an immersive mix.

Best for: Atmos music mixing, bus compression and glue across immersive beds and objects, and live immersive shows on SuperRack.
Genres: all; it's a workflow tool for immersive mixing.
Look elsewhere if: you only mix in stereo, or your sessions are already CPU-limited.
Standout: a shared sidechain that lets one compressor setting react across the whole immersive mix.

Buyers like the idea but many report heavy CPU use and a complicated workflow.

Waves customers (2025) rate it 3.6 out of 5 from 7 reviews; one called it a "Great concept" but said it can "eat up about 30-40 CPU" on an M1 Max in Pro Tools.
