What it does

A model of the API 2500 stereo bus compressor, usable as stereo or dual mono.

Thrust: a high-pass sidechain filter with Norm, Med and Loud settings that reduces low-end pumping.
Knee and type: Hard, Med and Soft knee, plus Feed Forward or Feed Back detection.
Also: L/R link, auto makeup gain and a parallel Mix control.

When to use it

A bus compressor with more shaping options than a plain glue compressor: Thrust, switchable knee and feed-forward or feed-back detection. It is a different flavour from the SSL G-Master Buss Compressor in the rated list.

Best for: drum bus, mix bus and parallel drums.
