What it does
MultiBender is a multiband delay: it splits the signal into three frequency bands and gives each its own delay and effects, so the low end can stay tight while the top gets longer, rougher or detuned repeats.
- Three bands: crossover points are dragged directly in the waveform display; each band has its own on/off switch.
- Per-band delay: independent delay time, feedback and gain for each band, within a four-stage delay design.
- Per-band effects: Saturation for harmonics, Bitcrush for digital grit and Detune for analog-style pitch drift.
- Tempo sync: straight, dotted and triplet delay times.
- Haas control: offsets the left and right timing for stereo width.
- Panning and ducker: a panning section and a ducker were added in version 1.5.0.
- Display: a central waveform graph shows all three bands in real time; bypass is click-free.
MultiBender was released in November 2021. The current version is 1.6.0 (April 17, 2024). A demo is available.

When to use it
MultiBender is the better pick when you want different delays on different parts of the spectrum, such as a dry, tight low end under gritty or detuned high repeats. Compared with EchoBoy, it has no tape or analog unit models, so it is less suited to classic vintage echo. Timeless 3 goes further on modulation and filtering, but it does not split the signal into bands with separate delay times. Next to UltraTap and Replika XT, its angle is frequency-based layering rather than many taps or modulated delay modes.
- Best for: creative delays that keep the low end clean, with saturated, crushed or detuned highs on vocals, guitars and synths.
- Genres: EDM, pop and hip-hop.
- Look elsewhere if: you want classic tape or analog echo (EchoBoy) or deep modulation of a single delay line (Timeless 3).
What producers say
The coverage found is positive but light, with no detailed user reviews.
- Gearnews (2021) admitted you may not "need another delay plug-in" but found its creative options "hard to resist", praising the very different treatments it allows per band.
- Praised: the per-band effect stacking and flexible sync options; Gearnews raised no specific criticisms.
