What it does
PHA-979 is Voxengo's track "phase alignment" plugin. It applies an arbitrary phase shift, rotating all frequencies across the signal's range by a given number of degrees, and adds time shifting so you can line up tracks without moving events in the DAW.
- Phase rotation: arbitrary signal phase control built on a linear-phase design, for fixing phasing between microphones or tightening drums and bass.
- Time delaying: positive and negative delay with a delay time calculator, so time alignment happens inside the plugin instead of by nudging regions.
- Correlation meter: a multi-band, analog-style correlation meter that shows how well the channels agree across the spectrum while you align.
- Mid/side and panning: mid/side channel balance and stereo output panning, useful for recording a stereo mic pair to a single stereo track or setting up headphone monitoring.
- Workflow: stereo and mono processing, preset manager, undo/redo, A/B comparisons and a resizable interface; 48 ms compensated latency.
The trial is fully featured but mutes the output for a moment every 45 seconds.
