Correlometer by Voxengo

A free multiband stereo correlation meter that shows phase correlation in 4 to 64 frequency bands instead of one broadband reading.

A side-chain input lets it compare two separate tracks, which helps with aligning kick and bass, or mic and DI pairs.

Best for: Mix Bus, Mastering, Drums, Bass. Genres: all genres.

Keywords: metering, bass, multi-band, sidechain input, free, kick, drums, low latency, mono-compatible, full mix, resizable UI, bus processing, CPU-light, electric guitar, enhancement, mastering, mix bus, mixing, simple, spectral, surgical, utility, zero-latency.

What it does

Correlometer is a free analog-style multiband correlation meter based on the meter in Voxengo's PHA-979 phase-alignment plugin. It shows where in the spectrum out-of-phase content sits, which a single broadband meter can hide.

Correlometer is free.

When to use it

Correlometer only measures, unlike Waves InPhase LT and Universal Audio's Little Labs IBP Phase Alignment Tool, which actually fix phase between sources, and Eventide Precision Time Align, which shifts timing. But it is free and shows far more detail across the spectrum than a single correlation needle. It pairs well with any of those, or with Voxengo SPAN for general analysis.

What producers say

KVR users rate it 4.67/5 across three reviews, praising how quickly it pinpoints phase issues.
