What it does
Halo is an algorithmic reverb built around a visible, shapeable decay curve. The developer's idea is "choose the space, then shape its decay", with every control on one page.
- Eight spaces: Hall, Chamber, Room, Ambience, Cathedral, Plate, Nonlin (32 decorrelated taps with no feedback) and HALO, a feedback network with granular pitch regeneration.
- Era settings: three era choices that change the reverb's character.
- Decay contour: six frequency-band decay controls for shaping how the tail dies away across the spectrum.
- Halo voices: five selectable pitch intervals that feed the tail for shimmer-style effects.
- Movement: freeze, bloom, modulation and ducking.
- Space and tone: predelay, diffusion, tone, width and mix.
Halo runs at zero latency at 44.1 to 192 kHz and comes with 43 factory presets. The current version is 1.0.5. It has been offered on sale. Licenses are perpetual, one-time purchases, with a free, full-function 3-day trial (no card needed) and a 14-day money-back guarantee; all eleven Vitric plugins are also available through the Vitric Complete subscription.

When to use it
Halo is a low-cost all-round reverb for producers who like to see and shape the decay. Compared with VintageVerb it has fewer modes and no long reputation, but it adds six-band decay control and a pitched HALO mode with freeze. Against Pro-R 2 it offers similar frequency-dependent decay shaping plus built-in shimmer voices and ducking, though Pro-R 2 is the more proven tool. For huge ambient washes it is less extreme than Supermassive or Blackhole.
- Best for: vocal and instrument reverbs, nonlinear drum reverbs and shimmer pads where you want visual control of the tail.
- Genres: pop, electronic, ambient and cinematic.
- Look elsewhere if: you want trusted classic algorithms (VintageVerb), deep decay editing with a long track record (Pro-R 2), or vast ambient spaces (Supermassive).
