Quick Haas by Venn Audio

A free psychoacoustic panning plugin that places a sound left or right by delaying one stereo channel by a fraction of a millisecond.

One central knob does the work, with steps down to a tenth of a millisecond, and it runs on macOS, Windows and Linux.

Best for: Vocals, Guitars, Keys & Synths, Sound Design. Genres: all genres.

Keywords: free, vocals, auto-pan, electric guitar, mixing, simple, single knob, synths, backing vocals, beginner-friendly, Linux, minimal controls, sound design.

What it does

Quick Haas is Venn Audio's "free and simple psychoacoustic panning plugin." Instead of changing the level of each side like a normal pan pot, it positions a stereo signal by adding a tiny delay between the left and right channels, using the precedence (Haas) effect.

Version 2.1.0 was released in October 2025. It is free.

When to use it

Pick Quick Haas when you only need to nudge a part left or right by time rather than level, in a plugin with one knob. Kilohearts Haas and W.A. Production PsychoPan cover similar delay-based widening and placement with more controls, and Ozone Imager is the usual free choice for broad stereo width rather than placement.

What producers say

The few user reviews are positive, with one reviewer pointing out that it works by channel delay rather than a true Haas effect.
