Free Reverb is the reverb in Venn Audio's Free Suite.

What it does
Free Reverb is the algorithmic reverb of Venn Audio's Free Suite, added in version 1.5. Bedroom Producers Blog calls it "an FDN-style reverb", built on a feedback delay network rather than impulse responses.
- FDN reverb: a feedback delay network design for rooms, tails and ambience.
- New in 1.5: it arrived with Free Gate, Free Strip and Free Generator in the July 2026 update.
- Light and resizable: the developer calls the suite "performant, light weight, resizeable, zero fuss", and every window can be resized.
- Rebuilt in 1.5: version 1.5 rewrote the back end of the whole suite to improve performance and stability.
- Part of a set: it shares its look with the other Free Suite plugins (compressor, EQ, channel strip, clipper, delay and more), aimed at mixing a track fully with free tools.
Free Suite is at version 1.5.7 and is free. The sources do not list its individual controls.

When to use it
Free Reverb is the pick for everyday room and tail reverb at no cost. Compared with VintageVerb, it offers no published set of vintage modes or colour modes. Unlike Pro-R 2, it has no documented decay EQ or detailed visual display. Compared with Supermassive, it is described for rooms, tails and atmospheres rather than huge, shimmering washes. Next to Free Convolve, it is the choice when you want a tail you can tune rather than a captured space.
- Best for: general room and hall ambience on vocals, instruments and buses on a zero budget.
- Genres: any.
- Look elsewhere if: you want vintage hardware colour or giant creative spaces; VintageVerb or Supermassive.
