Opal emulates the classic optical leveling amplifier, modelled from seven hardware units sourced from studios.
- T4 cell model: reproduces the program-dependent dynamics and non-linearities of the optical cell.
- Seven units: each with its own sonic signature.
- Modern features: external sidechain, variable responsiveness and tube drive.
- Modelling: UVI's own physical model, built with port-Hamiltonian systems theory.
