What it does
Falcon is UVI's hybrid instrument that combines synthesis, sampling and a large effects section in a semi-modular structure.
- Oscillators: 24 oscillator types, including analog, wavetable, FM, drum synthesis, pluck modelling and several granular variants.
- Samplers: regular, stretching, slicing and granular samplers that work alongside the oscillators.
- Effects: over 100 effects, including filters, amp sims, convolution, reverbs, delays and modulation, applied per note, per layer or globally.
- Structure: a tree-view editor for layering and routing in series or parallel, with scriptable MIDI processors using Lua.
When to use it
Suited to sound designers and composers who want one deep instrument for everything from playable synth patches to layered cinematic textures, and are happy to learn a modular-style editor. Its factory library and the wider UVI expansion range make it easy to use as a preset instrument too.
