What it does

Continuum is a dual-engine delay by JMG Sound, sold by United Plugins. Its idea is two independent delays that can feed into each other, so plain repeats can bloom into dense, reverb-like washes; the developer sums it up as "modern brain, vintage heart".

A free 15-day trial runs without saving limits or added noise, and updates are free for life.

When to use it

Continuum is the better pick when you want two delays working together rather than one delay with many styles. Compared with EchoBoy, it models fewer kinds of hardware but adds cross-fed engines, moving stereo modes like Orbit, and its own groove timing. Against Valhalla Delay, it is pricier and has no dedicated reverb-style modes, but the cross feed and Diffuse control get to similar washes while keeping two separate characters, such as tape on one side and BBD on the other. Timeless 3 goes much further on modulation routing and filters, while Continuum keeps things to fixed LFO speeds and a few knobs.
