What it does

Biverb is a Soundevice Digital dual reverb, sold by United Plugins and released in late 2024. It runs two independent reverbs at once and splits the signal between them, so one source can get two different spaces, for example a plate on the low end and a hall on the highs.

A free 15-day trial runs without limits, and updates are free for life.

When to use it

Biverb is the better pick when you want two different reverbs on one source without building parallel sends. Compared with Pro-R 2 and VintageVerb, it gives up depth for layering: Pro-R 2 has far more detailed decay and EQ shaping, and VintageVerb has many more modes and more vintage character, but each runs a single engine. LX480 Dual-Engine Reverb also has two engines, but it recreates a specific classic hardware unit, while Biverb's draw is splitting by frequency, loudness or stereo position. The Quiet/Loud split in particular is unusual among the rated reverbs. With only a few controls per unit, it suits quick layered spaces more than detailed reverb design.
