What it does
SILO is a granular reverb that lets you control the grains the reverb is built from.

- Movement: five algorithms named Comets, Moons, Meteors, Stars and Shimmer.
- Processing: filtering, spatialisation, compression and Mix.
- Presets: a library including sound designers such as Richard Devine.

When to use it
SILO produces unusual, evolving spaces rather than realistic rooms, so it complements a conventional reverb such as VintageVerb or Pro-R 2 rather than replacing it.
- Best for: ambient beds, cinematic textures and sound design.
- Genres: ambient, electronic, film scoring.
Where to buy
- Plugin Alliance: $90
