What it does
LO-FI-AF simulates the artifacts of degraded media, from vinyl and cassettes to MP3s, CDs, radios and phones, rather than just crushing bits.
- Modules: four (Convolution, Spectral, Digital and Analog), arranged in 24 signal paths.
- Effects: tape saturation, vinyl noise, CD skipping, MP3 chirps, radio interference, bit and sample-rate reduction.
- Interface: every control is visible at once, with 14 skins by Papernoise.

When to use it
LO-FI-AF is a broader lo-fi tool than RC-20 Retro Color, with more digital-media artifacts such as codec and CD errors, and it is more destructive as a result.
- Best for: lo-fi hip-hop, chillwave, and adding old-media character to loops and samples.
