What it does

CARBON, "The Toughest Element", is UJAM's most heavily processed Virtual Guitarist. It builds modern, sound-designed distorted guitar parts from the chords or notes you hold, aimed at game and film work as well as electronic, pop and metal production.

When to use it

CARBON is the pick when you want heavy guitar as a sound-design element rather than a realistic player. Compared with Heavier7Strings, it gives up detailed, note-by-note metal performance for ready-made riffs, stacked layers and extreme effects that you trigger from chords. Compared with UJAM's own IRON 2, it is far more processed: IRON 2 aims at classic rock rhythm guitar, while CARBON goes toward trailer, game and EDM textures. It also has a wider playable range in Instrument Mode than IRON 2, according to one KVR user. At its frequent sale price it is one of the cheapest ways to get modern heavy guitar into a track.
