When to use it

UFX DISTORT is a quick, preset-driven way to add drive and colour: pick one of 20 types, then add a speaker, a filter and a Finisher effect. Compared with Saturn 2, it has no detailed multiband editing or modulation, but its preset workflow is faster for non-specialists. Compared with Trash or Decimort 2, it covers a wider mix of tasks, from tape warmth to guitar amps, but goes less deep into heavy or lo-fi destruction. Its speaker emulations and Finisher effects give it more of a multi-effect role than Devil-Loc Deluxe, which focuses on crushing and colour.

Best for: quick drive and character on drums, bass, synths, guitars and vocals.
Genres: any; rock, electronic and hip-hop especially.
Look elsewhere if: you want multiband distortion with detailed modulation (Saturn 2) or deep sound-mangling (Trash or Decimort 2).
