What it does

Symphonic Elements STRIIIINGS is UJAM's phrase-based string instrument for dramatic textures and ostinatos. It uses recordings from Hans Zimmer's personal library, made at Remote Control Studios, and plays pre-arranged phrases from the chords you hold.

Two sections: Low Strings (basses and celli) and High Strings (violins and violas), blended with a crossfade slider or the pitch-bend wheel.
60 styles: grouped as Arpeggios, Dramatic, Epic, Friendly, Riffs and Sustains.
Phrases: six phrases per style on the keys C1 to A1, getting more complex and intense, plus four Additions that layer extra violin and viola lines.
Chord and dynamics control: play chords to set the harmony, with inversions and slash chords via the bass; the mod wheel rides dynamics and swells.
Sound design: Character and Motion effects per section, plus a global Finisher and Ambience.
Presets: 200+ sound designer presets; all phrases and sounds are royalty-free.

When to use it

STRIIIINGS is the shortcut to driving string ostinatos and dramatic beds: hold a chord and it plays an arranged phrase. Compared with Berlin Strings or BBC Symphony Orchestra Core, it has no free-play mode and no note-level control, but it needs no orchestration skill. Against Arturia's Augmented STRINGS, it is more about pre-performed cinematic phrases than playable hybrid string sounds. Its chord recognition is limited to basic chord types, so it suits octave and fifth-heavy action writing better than lush jazz-style harmony.

Best for: string ostinatos, arpeggios and dramatic textures under trailers, games, YouTube videos and epic pop.
Genres: cinematic, trailer, game music, and epic pop or electronic tracks.
Look elsewhere if: you want to write detailed string arrangements with 7th and 9th chords; Berlin Strings or BBC Symphony Orchestra Core give note-level control.
Tip: sustained chords have a slow attack, so nudge the MIDI slightly ahead of the beat to land on time.
