What it does

Finisher NEO is UJAM's multi-effect for modern, epic sound design on vocals, drums, synths and more. The developer frames it as "bold exploration of new frontiers": complex effect chains reduced to a few knobs.

50 Modes: multi-effect chains designed by sound engineers, grouped into five categories such as Spread (reverbs and delays), Crush, Shape and Boost (mastering-style processing).
27 algorithms: including granular pitch shifting, multiband distortion, stereo delays and convolution reverb.
Example Modes: Big Vibrato, Tremolo Shaper, Synth Wah, Jetplane and Space Grinder.
Effect knob: the main macro, built for automation, so one move can create filter sweeps, build-ups and other transitions.
Variation 1: adjusts musically useful parameters of the Mode, such as delay timing, EQ and distortion curves.
Variation 2: sets the ambience mix, length and character.
Presets: 130 in total, 80 original plus 50 added in version 1.1.0.

When to use it

NEO is the better pick when you want big, cinematic movement fast: choose a Mode, turn the Effect knob and automate it. Compared with Infiltrator 2 and Effectrix2, it gives much less control over the chain and no sequencing grid, but it needs almost no setup. It is broader than Stutter Edit 2, which centres on glitch and stutter transitions, and cheaper than most of the rated multi-effects. Within UJAM's range it is the sound-design Finisher, while VOODOO targets guitar.

Best for: epic treatments, risers and transitions on vocals, drums and synths.
Genres: cinematic, trailer and electronic.
Look elsewhere if: you want to design effect chains yourself (Infiltrator 2) or sequence effects in rhythm (Effectrix2).
Tip: automate the Effect and Variation knobs over a section to get evolving sounds and transitions.
