What it does

Finisher DYNAMO is UJAM's "Magical Movement Machine": a multi-effect that adds rhythmic motion and transforms sounds through preset effect chains. It has 50 modes built from 27 algorithms, played with a handful of knobs.

Pattern selector: five rhythm patterns that set the movement of the current mode.
Vari knobs: two controls that adjust the musically useful parts of each mode, such as modulation rate, EQ or distortion.
Tone: shapes the frequency balance; Sound On Sound found it also sets how aggressive the result sounds.
Finisher knob: the main intensity control, as in the rest of the Finisher range.
Five mode categories: REMIX for full tracks, SOLO for basses and single voices, RHYTHM for drums and percussion, SUSTAIN for pads and static sounds, and VOCAL for chops and glitches.
Presets: 290+ presets, sorted by category.

When to use it

Finisher DYNAMO is the choice for instant rhythmic movement without programming anything: pick a mode and a pattern, then adjust a few knobs. Compared with Effectrix2, it has no step sequencer to draw your own effect patterns, but it gets a moving result much faster. Infiltrator 2 lets you build and sequence your own effect chains, which DYNAMO hides behind its modes. Unlike Finisher BOOST, it is about ongoing movement rather than build-ups and transitions.

Best for: rhythmic movement on pads, drum loops, vocals, basses and full mixes.
Genres: electronic, dance, hip-hop and pop; Sound On Sound felt it suits conventional singer-songwriter work less well.
Look elsewhere if: you want to program effect sequences step by step; Effectrix2 or Infiltrator 2 suit that better.
Tip: try it on synth pads and drum loops first, and use the Pattern knob to change the rhythm before reaching for other presets.

What producers say

Reviews are positive, with the small control set the only real limit.

Sound On Sound (John Walden, April 2022) praised the streamlined interface, the nearly 300 presets, how well it transforms drums and pads, and the value; its advice was "just pick a preset, tweak a knob or two".
Sweetwater users rate it 5 out of 5 from 1 review; the buyer said it transformed a piece "into something almost unrecognizable".
Criticisms: Sound On Sound noted limited scope for deep parameter tweaking.
