What it does

Finisher BOOST is UJAM's riser and transition effect, made to "create massive impacts & uplifters with one knob." It runs complex multi-effect chains that build up over a set phrase length, locked to your DAW's grid.

Drama: the main knob. Positive values push all the effects harder; negative values filter the dry signal into the boosted output.
Loop: sets the length of the build, or lets you play it freehand to shape the arc yourself.
Grid sync: phrase lengths of 2, 4 or 8 bars, a choice of which beat hits maximum intensity, and playhead tracking so the timing holds wherever playback starts.
Flip: reverses the direction of the effect, for example to turn a riser into a downlifter.
Vari controls: macro controls tailored to each mode for fine-tuning.
60 modes: multi-effect chains grouped into Track, Instrument, and Drums & Vocals categories, with 200+ presets.

When to use it

Finisher BOOST is the simplest way to add risers, impacts and transitions: choose a mode, set a phrase length and turn Drama. Compared with Transit 2, it gives far less control over which effects move and how, but it needs almost no setup. Stutter Edit 2 is better for performed glitches, stutters and gestures, which BOOST does not do. BOOST suits producers who want transition ear candy in seconds rather than designing it themselves.

Best for: risers, build-ups, downlifters and impacts on single tracks, busses or the full mix.
Genres: EDM, pop, hip-hop and other electronic styles.
Look elsewhere if: you want detailed, sequenced transition design; Transit 2 or Stutter Edit 2 give more control.
Tip: UJAM encourages trying modes outside their suggested category; Sound On Sound found they work on any source.
