What it does
Emulation of the Summit Audio TLA-100A, a compressor with a mixed tube and solid-state circuit, for vocals, bass and acoustic guitars.
- Controls: Wet/Dry mix for parallel compression, a Saturation control for harmonic enhancement, and transient shaping.
- Low cut: a switchable filter on the input or the detector path.

When to use it
A smooth, levelling-style compressor for vocals and bass, closest in spirit to UA's own LA-2A and other opto or tube levellers in the rated list. It is the most expensive of these single compressors, and its DSP use is high.
Suits pop and singer-songwriter vocals, bass and acoustic guitar.
