What it does
An emulation of the 1976 EMT 250, the first digital reverb, using an algorithm taken from the original unit at Ocean Way Recording.
- Effects: reverb, delay, phasing, chorus, echo and space effects, with six modulation effects.
- Plug-in extras: dry/wet mix, wet solo and hard bypass.
- Endorsement: UA says it is the only emulation fully endorsed by EMT International.

When to use it
A dark, dense, 1970s digital reverb for lead vocals, snare and acoustic instruments. Engineers often pair it with the EMT 140 plate for contrast. For modern lush reverbs, choose something like VintageVerb.
