What it does

VO-TT (VOcal-oTT, tagline "Plug and Sing") takes the OTT idea of combined expansion, upward compression and downward compression and tailors it to vocal mixing, aiming for a balanced, professional vocal sound with minimal adjustment.

Five vocal bands: frequency bands chosen for vocals, each with its own expander, upward compressor and downward compressor.
Twelve styles: processing styles for different vocal scenarios.
Zero latency: usable while tracking and in live settings.
Workflow: dry mix, L/R and M/S processing, A/B switching, undo/redo, user-defined defaults and Retina/high-DPI support.

When to use it

VO-TT is a vocal-specific spin on the free Xfer Records OTT. Compared with it, Minimal Audio Fuse Compressor offers more bands, controls and metering, FabFilter Pro-MB is a more flexible general multiband, and iZotope Nectar 4 is a full vocal chain. Choose VO-TT when you want the dense, upfront OTT effect on a vocal with bands and styles already set up for voice.

Best for: lead and background vocals, rap and voiceover, and quick demo vocals that need to sound finished.
Genres: pop, hip-hop, R&B, EDM and rock.
Look elsewhere if: you want detailed multiband control and metering (Fuse Compressor, Pro-MB) or a free, simple OTT (Xfer OTT).
