Trinity Shaper by Three-Body Technology

Trinity Shaper is a single- or multiband transient shaper that splits each hit into Attack, Body and Sustain stages instead of the usual two.

The Body stage targets the 20 to 50 ms after a transient, so you can shape a drum's decay separately from its tail, with Focus filters and a four-band mode for buses.

Best for: Drums, Drum Bus, Bass, Acoustic Instruments, Mix Bus. Genres: all genres.

Keywords: drums, multi-band, bass, bus processing, low latency, corrective, digital classic, hardware emulation, look-ahead, oversampling, sidechain input, simple, 90s, acoustic guitar, analog-sounding, drum bus, full mix, kick, mid/side, mix bus, mixing, punchy, room mics, smooth, snare, stereo-linked, visual feedback, zero-latency.

What it does

Trinity Shaper is a transient shaper built around three stages: "Tame your wildest transients," as the developer puts it. Alongside Attack and Sustain it adds a Body stage, so the decay of a hit and its ringing tail can be adjusted separately.

Version 1.1.2 (July 2026). A 14-day full trial is available.

When to use it

Compared with SPL Transient Designer Plus, Softube Transient Shaper or Waves Smack Attack, Trinity Shaper adds a third stage and frequency focus to every control. Pick it when you want to change a drum's decay without touching its room tail, or shape transients per band on a bus. oeksound spiff is the better pick for taming clicks and harshness spectrally, and the SPL is quicker for simple attack and sustain moves.

What producers say

Reviewers praised its sound, interface and the flexibility of the Body stage.
