What it does
T-Warmer Mk2 is a saturation plugin that adds "musical harmonic saturations to low and mid frequencies" to make sounds warmer, thicker and fuller. It is a focused low-end tool rather than a full-band drive.
- Four modes: Phat, Smooth, Hard and Warm, refined in Mk2 for a more polished character. MusicTech described Smooth as subtle and even, Warm and Phat as stronger harmonics around 100 to 400 Hz, and Hard as more aggressive with higher harmonics.
- Warmth and Frequency: Warmth sets the amount of saturation and Frequency sets how far up the low range it reaches (from 60 Hz to 600 Hz in the original version, per MusicTech).
- Mix: blend the saturated signal with the dry one to avoid over-processing.
- Level-independent: the effect stays consistent with input level, per KVR's listing.
- Zero latency: usable live and while tracking.
- Extras: A/B comparison, undo/redo, up to 8x oversampling and a scalable UI.
Mk2 was released in March 2026; KVR lists version 2.0.0. The developer's page did not show full details when read.

When to use it
T-Warmer Mk2 is the better pick when you want to thicken bass and low mids without touching the top end. Unlike Decapitator and Radiator, which drive the whole signal, it keeps its harmonics in the lows and mids, so it won't brighten or add grit to cymbals and vocal air. It is also narrower in scope than True Iron or RC-20 Retro Color, which colour the full band. In return it is quicker to set: pick a mode, set the Frequency and turn up Warmth.
- Best for: warming and thickening bass, sub-bass, kick, guitars, vocals and buses.
- Genres: any.
- Look elsewhere if: you want full-band drive or distortion (Decapitator) or tape-style colour across the mix (Ampex ATR-102).
- Tip: MusicTech used it to deepen sub-bass lines and add low-end body to drums in ways an EQ boost couldn't.
What producers say
Reviews see it as a quick, effective low-end thickener with limited flexibility; the main review covers the original T-Warmer.
- MusicTech (Alex Holmes, 2022, original version) gave it 8/10, calling it "easy and quick to use" and strong on bass and sub-bass, and liked the four profiles and 8x oversampling.
- KVR users rate Mk2 5 out of 5 from 2 reviews; one called it like "a less muddy version" of a popular low-end enhancer and praised it on guitars and vocals.
- Criticisms: MusicTech wanted gain matching with numeric values or a LUFS readout, and more adjustability on the Frequency dial.
