What it does
sTiltV2 is a free tilt filter. It tilts the whole spectrum around a centre frequency you choose, making one side brighter and the other darker in a single move, with linear phase, natural phase or zero-delay filtering.
- Tilt control: slope from -6 to +6 dB/oct around an adjustable centre frequency.
- Filter modes: linear phase, natural phase and zero delay (IIR).
- Quality modes: five settings: low, eco, medium, high and max.
- Gain safety: unity auto-gain so the tilt doesn't change loudness, plus switchable clip protection and output gain.
- Channels: stereo, left, right, mid or side processing, so you can tilt only the sides or only the centre, with flexible channel monitoring.
- Comparison and mix: sample-exact A/B comparison and a signal mix control.
- Interface: free GUI scaling, in GPU and non-GPU builds.
The developer describes a "distortion free processing engine". The linear-phase mode adds significant latency, which the DAW normally compensates. The current version is 2.3.13 (May 2026). It is free.

When to use it
sTiltV2 is the pick when a mix or master just needs a broad brightness or warmth change and nothing else. Pro-Q 4 can draw a tilt shelf too, but sTiltV2 is free and does it with one slope control and automatic level matching. Compared with TDR VOS SlickEQ, whose tilt sits inside a three-band EQ with saturation, it offers a choice of linear, natural or zero-delay phase and mid/side channel selection. It cannot cut, boost or shape anything beyond the single tilt.
- Best for: broad tonal tilts on mix buses and masters, darkening or brightening single tracks, and tilting only the side signal.
- Genres: any.
- Look elsewhere if: you need more than a tilt; TDR Nova or Pro-Q 4 give full EQ control.
- Tip: use zero-delay mode while tracking or on live inputs, since linear phase adds significant latency.
