Not rated yet
DynaRide2 is a gain rider from TBProAudio that keeps vocal, dialogue and bass levels consistent, with detector programs for vocal, speech and bass.
It adds side-chain support, a switchable pre-delay and an enhancer, for €39 (about $44).
Best for: Vocals, Bass. Genres: all genres.
Keywords: bass, vocals, dialogue, enhancement, sidechain input, podcast, low latency, metering, lead vocals, mixing, zero-latency.
What it does
DynaRide2 is "an advanced gain rider plug-in" that "automatically keeps the voice/dialogue and bass loudness level consistent." It rides the level up and down before any compression, so quiet words and loud phrases end up closer together without squashing dynamics inside each note.
- Detector programs: an advanced signal detector with separate programs for vocals, speech and bass.
- Attack and release: adjustable timing so the ride can follow fast or slow changes in level.
- Enhancers: matching vocal, speech and bass enhancers.
- Pre-delay: switchable between real-time zero latency and a fixed pre-delay that lets the ride react ahead of the signal.
- Automation: read and write the gain changes as DAW automation data, so the ride can be edited or kept after the plugin is removed.
- Side-chain and metering: side-chain input, VU meters for input, output and gain, presets, 64-bit internal processing and free GUI scaling.
The current version is 2.0.22. The demo mutes the audio every 90 seconds.

When to use it
DynaRide2 is the better pick when you want one inexpensive gain rider that handles singing, spoken word and bass. Compared with Vocal Rider, it adds dedicated speech and bass programs in the same plugin, where Waves sells Bass Rider separately. Like Vocal Rider it writes its moves as automation, so you can check and edit the ride later. Its built-in enhancers and switchable pre-delay go beyond a plain level rider, but it has fewer ride controls and modes than GainRider3 from the same developer.
- Best for: evening out lead vocals, dialogue and bass lines before compression, and levelling podcast and voice-over tracks.
- Genres: any; also suited to podcasts and post-production.
- Look elsewhere if: you want more detailed ride controls and ducking options (GainRider3) or the widely used industry reference (Vocal Rider).
