Creative effect combining a tempo-synced glitch engine (11 modes such as stutter, freeze, reverse and scratch) with a corruption engine that simulates seven kinds of digital breakdown, from 8-bit crunch and decimation to packet loss, lossy codecs and CD read errors. A multimode filter and four LFOs shape and animate the result.

- Glitch: 11 modes including stutter, freeze, reverse, scratch and stretch, with a 24-division clock and 8 rhythmic patterns.
- Corrupt: 7 modes: 8-bit crunch, decimation, modem simulation, packet loss, MP3 compression, CD errors and ring modulation.
- Shaping: multimode filter with slopes up to 96 dB/octave, 4 LFOs, chaos control and stereo imaging; 50 presets.

When to use it
GX-8600 is a creative effect for deliberate breakage, not a general-purpose processor. It combines stutter-style glitching with digital-error sounds that most glitch plugins don't attempt.
