What it does
PQ is a five-band parametric mastering EQ emulating SPL's analog 120V rail technology.
- Bands: five, each switchable between Constant Q and Proportional Q.
- Range: a 1/4 Gain switch reduces the range from +/- 20 dB to +/- 5 dB.
- Extras: mono and stereo versions, TMT, Auto Listen, Mono-Maker, Stereo Width and THD.
When to use it
PQ is the precise mastering EQ of the SPL range, in contrast with the passive Passeq. Compared with FabFilter Pro-Q 4 it has fewer bands and features, and adds analog character.
