Auto-Align Post 2 by Sound Radix

Auto-Align Post 2 keeps location microphones such as boom and lavalier mics in phase, adapting its time alignment as actors and cameras move.

It corrects up to ±100 ms of offset with adaptive spectral phase correction, and costs $399.

Best for: Vocals. Genres: Ambient & Cinematic.

Keywords: dialogue, spectral, dynamic, film & game audio, metering, AAX, field recordings, podcast, simple, utility, vocals.

What it does

Auto-Align Post 2 is "the fast & simple way to get location mics in phase". It is a separate product from Auto-Align 2, built for dialogue: it time-aligns and phase-corrects boom and lavalier mics even when the distance between them changes during a take.

Version 2.3.3 (January 2026) works as AudioSuite in Pro Tools, through ARA2 in supporting DAWs, and natively in DaVinci Resolve Studio and Adobe Premiere. It has a trial.

When to use it

Auto-Align Post 2 is the pick for dialogue editors and post mixers whose boom and lav mics change distance throughout a take. Compared with Auto-Align 2, it adds a dynamic mode that keeps re-aligning as people move, works inside Resolve and Premiere, and covers a wider offset range, but it costs twice as much and runs offline rather than live. Compared with manual tools such as Waves InPhase or Eventide Precision Time Align, it removes the sample-by-sample nudging that moving mics would need. For music sessions where the mics stay put, it is more than you need.

What producers say

Reviewers see it as a real time-saver for professional dialogue work, with the price as the main hurdle.
