What it does
Oxford DeBuzzer removes buzz, hum, whine and whistles, using high-resolution detection and automatic tracking of fundamentals and harmonics.
- Detect and Remove: separate sections for finding and removing the problem.
- Auto Tracking: follows fundamentals that wander in pitch.
- Removal methods: comb filter or parametric EQ options.
- Tools: DIFF auditioning to hear what is being removed, and a tone generator for setting a frequency by hand.
When to use it
Use DeBuzzer on recordings with mains hum, guitar-amp buzz or whistling noise, such as location audio and old tapes. It targets tonal problems with harmonics, which broadband denoisers handle poorly.
