A metering suite that adds loudness metering and multichannel support up to 7.1.4 to SSL's original Meter plugin.
It combines VU and PPM meters, true peak/RMS, a phase scope, a 31-band analyzer and delivery-standard loudness presets, and it integrates with SSL's UF1 controller.

What it does
Meter Pro is SSL's "advanced metering suite" for music, broadcast, post-production and immersive work, building on the original SSL Meter with loudness and multichannel support.
- Loudness: Momentary bar, Short-Term history and Histogram views with readouts, alerts and presets for ITU, EBU, ATSC, YouTube, Netflix, Spotify and other standards.
- Multichannel: true peak and RMS metering for formats up to 7.1.4 (Dolby Atmos), with scales including K-20, K-14 and K-12.
- Classic meters: analog-style VU and PPM meters.
- Stereo and spectrum: Lissajous phase scope, phase correlation meter, stereo balance bar and 31-band real-time analyzer.
- Integration: works with the SSL UF1 controller's screen and the SSL 360 plugin mixer.

When to use it
Meter Pro competes with full metering suites such as iZotope Insight 2, which is similar in scope. Where Youlean Loudness Meter 2 is a cheaper loudness-focused meter and NUGEN VisLM is a broadcast loudness standard, Meter Pro puts VU/PPM, loudness and immersive metering in one plugin. Pick it especially if you use an SSL UF1.
- Best for: loudness delivery for streaming and broadcast, mastering, and immersive/Atmos mixing.
- Genres: general purpose.
- Look elsewhere if: you only need a LUFS readout; a free or cheaper loudness meter will do.
- Standout: 7.1.4 support plus UF1 hardware integration.
