A channel strip for electric, acoustic and bass guitar with amp-style drive, a compressor, phase correction and a three-band EQ.
It is meant to shape recorded guitar and bass parts in one plugin rather than a chain of separate ones.

What it does
Guitarstrip is SSL's channel strip for guitar and bass, released in 2022.
- Drive: two tube amp emulations (guitar and bass) with Boost, Punch, Edge, Shape and a drive mix control.
- Compressor: five preset response characters, auto make-up gain and parallel compression.
- Phase correction: delay, phase invert and an allpass filter for lining up multi-miked or DI-plus-amp recordings.
- EQ: a three-band channel EQ with asymmetrical low gain and an input high-pass filter.
It is part of SSL Complete.

When to use it
A quick way to tidy and thicken guitar and bass tracks, especially where a DI and an amp mic need phase alignment. The drive section can be too much on parts that are already distorted. For general channel duties, SSL's Native Channel Strip 2 or 4K E are the better fit.
