Three SSL G-series bus compressors in one plugin, each on its own adjustable frequency band, for the classic SSL glue applied band by band.
Per-band 4K drive, sidechain filtering independent of the crossovers and a band graph view extend the G-series design to submix, mix and mastering work.

What it does
G3 MultiBusComp delivers "the classic SSL 'glue' compression sound across 3 independently configurable frequency bands."
- Three bands: independent G-series compression on three bands with adjustable crossovers; adjacent bands can be linked into two-band or full-range setups.
- 4K Drive: per-band harmonic drive for added warmth.
- Sidechain: external sidechain with its own filtering, independent from the band crossovers, plus per-band and sidechain solo.
- Band graph: a visual view for setting thresholds and crossover frequencies.
- Workflow: Shift-key linking of input/output or threshold/makeup gains, and a resizable GUI from 50% to 200%.

When to use it
Pick G3 MultiBusComp when you want G-series glue and punch but need to control low, mid and high regions separately. Native Bus Compressor 2 and the UAD SSL 4000 G Bus Compressor are single-band G-series compressors, while FabFilter Pro-MB and Waves C6 are cleaner, more surgical multiband tools.
- Best for: mix bus, mastering and drum or vocal submixes that need glue without low end driving the whole compressor.
- Genres: all genres.
- Look elsewhere if: you need clean, surgical multiband processing; Sound On Sound found it is not built for that.
- Standout: three G-series compressors with per-band drive and flexible sidechain filtering.
