What it does
autoEQ combines "SSL 4000E EQ processing with sonible AI-assisted analysis." It is modeled on SSL's 4K E channel strip EQ.
- E-series EQ: modeled on the SSL 4K E Channel Strip, with SSL E-series EQ curves and analog character.
- AI analysis: sonible's engine detects source characteristics and recommends EQ moves in real time.
- Profiles: instrument profiles such as kick, snare and vocal, with Neutral, Warm and Bright styles.
- Intensity: scales the suggested EQ from subtle to 200%, and the settings stay fully editable.
- Mix assistance: contextual visual guidance for learning, which can be switched off.
The current version is 1.0.41. It is also part of the autoSeries Bundle. A 14-day trial is available.

Pick autoEQ if you want SSL console EQ character with a suggested starting curve per instrument. Like sonible smart:EQ 4 and learn:EQ, it offers AI-assisted EQ, but with a console model rather than a clean digital sound, and Waves SSL E-Channel or bx_console SSL 4000 E give you the E-series EQ with manual control.
- Best for: fast track-by-track EQ on drums, vocals, bass and guitars, and for learning how an SSL EQ is used.
- Genres: all genres.
- Look elsewhere if: you need surgical or dynamic EQ; Pro-Q 4 is far more flexible.
