What it does
A model of a classic monophonic synth (the Sequential Pro-One), including its step sequencer and arpeggiator.
- Sound: dry mono sound from the modelled circuits, with new Drive and stereo-doubling options.
- Sequencer and arp: synced to the DAW or an internal clock.
- Controls: VCO, VCF-VCA, LFO and envelope sections, plus a velocity and aftertouch panel and three colour schemes.
- Two versions: a standalone instrument, and six modules for Softube Modular.
When to use it
A quick way to get punchy analog basses, leads and sequenced lines without programming from scratch, because the sequencer and arpeggiator are built in. It is simpler and more hands-on than Diva or Serum 2. Suits synthwave, electronic, techno and any track that needs a solid mono bass or a sequenced hook.
