What it does
An emulation of the Chandler Limited Curve Bender mastering EQ, based on EMI TG console EQ circuits from Abbey Road.
- Modeling: component-level modeling of the germanium and inductor circuits.
- Software extras: mid/side processing and channel linking.
- Presets: by Joe Chiccarelli, Tony Maserati, Howard Willing, Kevin Kadish and Maor Appelbaum; Console 1 compatible.
When to use it
A broad, musical EQ for the master bus, instrument groups and individual tracks, with a silky top end and firm low end. It's for tone-shaping by ear, not surgical fixes, so pair it with an EQ like Pro-Q 4. Among rated EQs, it is closest to the Pultec and Mäag EQs.
