What it does

Slate describes Infinity Bass as a bass shaper and sub-bass generator that adds depth and warmth and creates missing subharmonics, on single tracks or full mixes.

Four modes: Punchy (a bass exciter for transient presence), Warm (a dual-band subharmonic synth with octaver-style effects), Deep (a clean sub generator with dynamics control) and Phased (an all-pass filter for weak transients).
Controls: Amount, Frequency, Character, Output Gain, a Listen button and a visualizer.

When to use it

Use it when a bass, 808 or kick has no weight below the fundamental and you want to add sub content rather than just boost it with an EQ. The Deep and Warm modes are the sub generators; Punchy suits electric or synth bass that needs to cut through.

Best for hip-hop, EDM and pop low ends. If you only want harmonic saturation on the bass, a saturator such as Decapitator will colour it differently without generating new sub frequencies.
