What it does
FG-36A models a 1960s exciter, adding sparkle and shimmer to the top end while leaving the low end alone.
- Controls: just two knobs, Intensity and Output.
- Sources: vocals, drums, hi-hats, bass elements or a whole mix bus.

When to use it
A quick brightener when a track sounds dull. It works differently from an EQ shelf because it adds harmonic content rather than gain. It is a similar two-knob idea to Slate's Fresh Air.
