What it does

Bus Clipper is a two-stage tool for controlling peaks and raising perceived loudness. Slate describes it as "shave the peaks, push the rest forward".

Clipper stage: three modes with a Shape/Harmonics control. It works sample by sample, with no attack or release settings.
Booster stage: Mellow, Standard and Aggressive modes with a Gain knob.
Quality: 2x to 16x oversampling, with linear-phase or minimum-phase downsampling filters.
Output: a True Peak limiter with ceiling, plus LUFS-I, LUFS-S and true peak metering.
Monitoring: Delta Listen and Constant Gain Monitoring.

When to use it

Built with mastering chains in mind, but it works on any bus. Compared with the rated clippers such as StandardCLIP and KClip 3, it adds a booster stage and a final true-peak limiter in one plugin.
