Integer is a delay from Sinevibes that changes its sample rate to set delay time, in the way analog bucket brigade chips do.
A clock range from hundreds of Hz to tens of MHz, selectable buffer sizes and interpolation give pitch glides, chorus, sample rate effects and drones, for $29.
Best for: Keys & Synths, Guitars, Vocals, Sound Design. Genres: Electronic & EDM, Lo-Fi, Ambient & Cinematic.
Keywords: chorus, BBD, flanger, synths, gritty, wobble, electric guitar, experimental, tape, creative, lo-fi, analog delay, digital-sounding, mixing, samples & loops, smooth, sound design, tempo-synced, vocals.
What it does
Integer is a "digital-analog modeling delay" from Sinevibes. It recreates the variable clock of bucket brigade delay chips with a variable sample rate engine, so changing the time bends the pitch of the repeats like tape, and low clock rates add digital grit.
- Variable clock engine: a clock range from hundreds of Hz to tens of MHz, with several buffer sizes to choose from; CDM lists a delay range of 0.1 to 1000 ms.
- Output interpolation: four interpolation algorithms with different resolutions, from rough and aliased to smoother.
- Feedback loop: bipolar feedback that can amplify the signal, held in check by a brick-wall limiter, for self-oscillation and runaway repeats.
- Input filters: adjustable high-pass and low-pass filters before the delay.
- Modulation: a sine generator with stereo phase offset and adjustable frequency and amplitude drift, for chorus, flanger and wobble.
- Sync and smoothing: optional tempo sync for both delay time and modulation, and lag filters on all continuous parameters, which give the pitch glides.
- Channels: mono-to-mono, mono-to-stereo and stereo-to-stereo.
Integer is version 1.0.2, and a demo is available. Sinevibes also makes a version for KORG multi-engine synths.

When to use it
Integer is the better pick for strange, pitch-bending and lo-fi delays rather than classic echoes. Compared with EchoBoy, it has far fewer styles and no tape or rhythm modes, but it goes further into clock-rate artifacts, sample rate crunch and swooping pitch glides. It is much rougher and more experimental than Timeless 3, which is the cleaner and more flexible modulation delay. Unlike Delay TAPE-201 or Galaxy Tape Echo, it does not model a specific hardware unit; it borrows the bucket brigade idea and pushes it into chorus, flanger, drone and loop territory. It is also one of the cheaper ways to add this kind of texture.
- Best for: warbly, gritty echoes on synths and guitars, chorus and flanger effects, pitch-sweep transitions and drones.
- Genres: electronic, experimental, lo-fi and ambient.
- Look elsewhere if: you want a clean, transparent delay or classic tape echo; Timeless 3, Valhalla Delay or EchoBoy fit better.
- Tip: move the clock frequency while repeats are still sounding to get tape-style pitch glides (CDM).
What producers say
Early write-ups treat it as an unusual, creative delay rather than a standard echo; no criticisms were raised.
- CDM (Peter Kirn) called it a "deeply creative sound tool" whose sounds range from glitchy vintage digital to futuristic, working as a crusher and chorus or flanger as well as a delay. He also published a free preset pack of rubbery pitch sweeps.
- Synth Anatomy said "it does not sound like a classic delay" and found its unusual effects, loops and drones the main draw.
